V & D: fast solution dismissal 50 employees – Reformed Daily

Department Concern V & D is expected Tuesday to reach a solution with the trade unions FNV and CNV on how V & D operates around the dismissal of fifty employees of the service center at its headquarters in Amsterdam. That has informed the department store Monday. “V & D and the unions have had a constructive dialogue on the social plan,” says the group.

The redundant employees were given recently to carry a letter from benefits agency UWV asking defense against their dismissal. This means that V & D continues a reorganization, without waiting for the opinion of the works council and without a social plan, say the unions. They find the behavior of V & D does not pass muster

V &. D denies that it has already started with the implementation of the dismissal. The group says, “of course” it would await the advice of the Works and expects advice within weeks

The unions went Monday with V &. D to the table in an effort still “a decent social plan ‘ to create for the employees concerned. Moreover, that happens at the invitation of the management of the retail business.
