Netherlands is working closely with the Philippines to address human trafficking and (child) sex tourism. The Asian country is an important link when it comes to tackling this serious crime, says Chairman of the Board of Prosecutors General Herman Bolhaar. “And in the Netherlands live potential offenders.”
The cooperation between prosecutors follows a visit that Bolhaar last year brought to the country. The authorities in both countries exchanging more information and the lines are shortened between the organizations.
The intensive cooperation had a few weeks ago result. As an Australian, was arrested in the Philippines, that certainly eight underage girls he had abused.
