KPN suing the South Korean manufacturer Samsung smartphone in the United States for the unauthorized use of patented technology. This was reported by Bloomberg today, according to
Samsung would be smartphones, including the Galaxy S4 and S5, use of technology for data which are outside our patent has. The two companies have negotiated the last two years on a licensing agreement, but without result.
KPN has brought the case to a federal court in Marshall, in the US state of Texas. The Dutch phone company wants compensation from Samsung, and a ban on further use of the patented technology. (Reuters)
