The four current distribution centers count about seven hundred employees, including auxiliary staff. Together they fulfil 435 voltijdsbanen (fte). The new centre in Tiel is good for 250 fte, which is expected to be 175 fte will be filled in with the current employees. That have to move or a significantly longer journey to take for granted

in Addition to these four centres, PLUS two distribution centres use specifically for fresh and fresh frozen products, in Rotterdam and Utrecht.

These activities are in the management of external parties and are outside the scope of the reorganization.

Social plan

PLUS, about his plans for the future in consultation with the works council and the trade unions. The company promises to provide a social plan, whereby the starting point is the affected employees, as well as guide you to other work.

The formal decision is in the middle of this year. In the first half of 2020, the activities of the current distribution step-by-step transferred to the new location in Tiel. “This gives us the time for our employees to help in the guidance of their new future,” said Brewer.

trade Union CNV says PLUS to keep the promise for a good social plan. “That must be a very good social plan, his will also for the concerned employees is still a bit fine,” says vakbondsbestuurder Rose Rahimi. “It will but happen, that your work is being taken over by a robot. Painful, very painful.”
