The International Monetary Fund (IMF) paints a false picture of the progress that Greece has made in reforming its economy. That said the Greek minister of Finance, Euklides Tsakalotos, Tuesday in a response to a new IMF report on his country.
According to Tsakalotos gives the fund an unfair and misleading picture of the economic policy that since 2015 in Greece has been conducted.
This would be the IMF to the in his eyes, “far too pessimistic”
conclusion that the Greek debt in the coming decades will explode, if no work is created from debt relief.

Tsakalotos mentions the conclusions of the IMF about the sustainability of the Greek debt is questionable, because they do not take into account the latest data. Also challenges the assumption of the fund that Greece will not be able in the coming years, large surpluses in the budget to keep books.
