According to figures that Aedes, the umbrella organization of the housing associations, has published Wednesday.
The number of evictions has fallen to 5,900. That is 15 percent less than in 2013. Tenants had late last year a payment of 350 million euros.
The number of cases in which the judge approved eviction, increased by 2 percent. But those 23,500 sentences are therefore not all done.
Resolution
Corporations try to find a solution for tenants in financial trouble. This may be a payment arrangement. Thus, in seven out of ten cases are still avoid eviction.
The figures are based on a survey of Aedes hundred eighty housing associations. Which locks with 58,000 tenants a payment plan to run in arrears.
Prevention
To prevent the rapid rise of rent arrears, housing associations do much to prevention. They make home visits, the tenants call and refer them to social services.
Also close corporations covenants including municipalities, welfare and debt counseling. Thus, the municipality may deduct the rent of one’s benefit and directly transfer to the housing. This is a solution for tenants who can go bad with money
