 Rail Transportation Utrecht disrupted by power failure

The impact of the power outage yesterday for the track early this morning were over. NS announced that last night’s working hard to get everything back in order and that the train again to boot normally.

The major power outage that yesterday morning a large part of North Holland and Flevoland hit the rail laid completely flat. After a few hours the train service could be restarted, but train traffic was up late last night seriously disturbed by the noise. NS took buses or other alternative means of transport to bring stranded passengers home.



Many luggage still at Schiphol

At Schiphol airport are between two thousand and three thousand pieces were left luggage because it baggage system yesterday suffered from the effects of the power outage. A spokesman for Schiphol fault had no further effect on traffic, reports news agency ANP.

Schiphol and the airlines are trying today to get all the remaining luggage still at the place of destination. Suitcases are controlled in flight connections behind people. If a destination is not on the schedule today, is sought through a detour still get the luggage to the passengers.

Yesterday was working the outage until late in the evening at the airport but finally all travelers which would depart from Schiphol, finally to their destination.

One of biggest blackouts ever

The power failure is one of the largest that has seen our country. Approximately 1 million households were without electricity by a power outage station in Diemen. Probably originated as a short circuit. The outage began at 9:45 pm. Around 15:30 everyone was reconnected.
