Unilever is accelerated buying and selling brands – Financieele Dagblad (Registration)

Unilever CEO Paul Polman wants the coming year will renew its brand portfolio at a faster pace. “We have taken steps in recent years put to sharpen the portfolio with a number of strategic acquisitions and sales of brands,” says Unilever boss in the annual report for 2014, which was published Friday. “I want to accelerate the level of activity seen in the coming year.”

Unilever bought lately especially brands for personal care and foods did the door. Recently, the weight loss products Slim-Fast and Ragu pasta sauces and Bertolli sold. Were purchased British skincare brand Ren, the Procter & amp; Gamble brands and Camay Zest and Talenti Gelato ice cream brand.

Polman also indicates that next year more will be done to the food brands to grow again. Should improve the profitability and cash flow to invest in growth opportunities.
