Euronext Maurice Tilburg appointed chief executive of the Amsterdam stock exchange. Tilburg was previously head of projects and design in the derivatives business of Euronext.
The appointment is with immediate effect, subject knowledge of regulatory approvals, boot Euronext Monday.
Derivatives
Van Tilburg (photo) has nearly 20 years experience in the exhibitions industry. He began his career in 1995 at the EOE Options Exchange in Amsterdam, after which he went to work for Euroclear Netherlands. The last time he was head of projects and design ‘responsible for the renewed focus and structure of business initiatives and project delivery of new products and services.
Team player
will assume his new role He will report directly to Dominique Cerutti, CEO of Euronext. Cerutti praises Van Tilburg on his appointment as “a team player with a long and diverse record of service.
Van Tilburg Cees Vermaas follows. Vermaas appeared suddenly in August 2014 off and last month was appointed head of the European division of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
