The Danish brewer Carlsberg has the Dutchman Cees’ t Hart appointed as successor to the current CEO Jørgen Buhl Rasmussen. ‘T Hart had been since 2009 CEO of the dairy company FrieslandCampina and will take the lead on 15 June Buhl Rasmussen, who will retire.

‘ t Hart led the merger of Friesland Foods and Campina, end of 2008 merged into the current FrieslandCampina. Under his leadership, sales increased from 8.2 to 11.4 billion euros. In Asia FrieslandCampina realized especially in China and Hong Kong growth. Before ‘t Hart

at FrieslandCampina entered service, he worked at Unilever. He will be succeeded by FrieslandCampina coo Roelof Joosten, who since 2012 has been a member of the board of the dairy group.

Carlsberg is the fourth largest brewer in the world. The company saw its sales stabilize last year at 8.7 billion euros. The company sold 3 percent more beer than in 2013, primarily due to acquisitions. In the fourth quarter last year, sales decreased by 6 percent and beer sales by 2 percent. Operating profit was at that time 22 percent lower than a year earlier.

The Danish company had in recent months have already know much affected by the turmoil around Russia and the poor economic situation in the country, but did the impact on its own to reduce due to favorable developments in Western Europe and Asia.
