The House supports the extension of the European loan program to Greece. The delay that France gets to meet the European standard budget, has the support of a majority in the House.

That turned out tonight in a parliamentary debate with Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Eurogroup President and Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem.

The delay for France, provided that the country 4 billion in additional cuts and more reforms, can also count on support from the government. Prime Minister Rutte said France becomes as is treated as Netherlands in 2013. The government was then to Brussels cut 6 billion extra to get the European standard of a budget deficit of delay up to 3 percent.

Rutte said that he is satisfied with the rigid position of the European Commission, but much less about France.

“I had expected that the French government itself would have the ambition, without the Commission’s aim had to ask.”

If France does not do what the Commission is now demanding, Brussels Paris can impose financial penalties.

Among others D66, CDA, PVV and the Christian Union turned fiercely against the

postponement. D66 leader Alexander Pechtold:

“This is Europe double standards. If we are hard for the Greeks, and the Netherlands’ strict reforms, then France must abide by the agreements. “

CDA leader Sybrand Buma the delay was unreasonable. Carola Schouten of the Christian Union called it holding a knife in the back for the countries that have the budget standards. The government parties VVD and Labour supported the government does.

The government was clearly more support on the ‘case Greece. A large majority of at least VVD, PvdA, CDA, D66 and GroenLinks is positive about the extension of the lending program. It was striking that the SP was for. The extension was needed Parliament Harry van Bommel to prevent a complete bank run in Greece.

Dijsselbloem explained in the debate that the program for Greece was extended, but that does not mean that the Greeks now short-term weather get money from the other euro countries. The money from previously committed loans is launched when the promised reforms and cuts are made. (Reuters)
