More and more people combine multiple jobs, work study, or work with care. That concludes the Social and Cultural Planning Office (SCP) in a report published today.
The share of workers with more than one job grew in the period 1986-2012 from 3 to 8 percent. The self-employed, this percentage actually increased from 4 to 13 percent.
The SCP concludes that employees increasingly late in their career to get a permanent contract. So was in 2002, 80 percent of employees after six to ten years of work experience a permanent contract in 2012 it was only after ten to fifteen years.
Job security
From the SCP report also shows that people over 45 who lose their jobs hard to come back to work. And if they find a job it is often only temporary. So is only 20 percent of the returners over 45 in permanent employment, compared to 35 percent of returnees under 45 years. A relatively large proportion of over-45s is back home after two years without a job
