Fewer crimes and fireworks during New Year complaints than last year – Parool.nl

Despite a number of arrests and several large fires in various parts of the country went New Year this year, relatively quiet. There were fewer serious crimes, fewer arrests and fewer fireworks complaints compared to last year. It involves first provisional police figures

“The police see a shift in the number of serious crimes to lighter transgressions that often can be dealt with by the police. ” That said Minister Ivo Opstelten (Security and Justice) tonight at a press conference on the celebration of old and new. The police made 576 arrests that were there last year on January 1, 824.
