The government proposes from 2015 financial space for salary increase for civil servants. This is evident from a letter minister Block Friday to the union sent in which he invites them to begin consultations to reach a new collective agreement with a term of two years.
The financial space is available due to the savings on employers’ contributions for pensions as of 1 January 2015. According to Minister Block is important to make arrangements in collective bargaining to ensure that the government service, efficient and cost conscious can continue working.
Before his need employees who are versatile within the Empire. This requires flexibility and mobility within the civil service. This need is reinforced by the trend that people work longer.
In addition, the Minister is important that the benefits package is better suited to more choice and customization for the employees. Block therefore suggests the personal choice to expand in terms of employment for instance how and when employees want to get paid their holiday and year-end bonuses and more choices between leisure time or money.
