Ex-topvrouw Sayeh Erbudak of Amsterdam’s Slotervaart Hospital must repay more than 1.7 million. That the court in Amsterdam determined today.
It is money that it has withdrawn from the hospital during her administration presidency in the period of 2006-2013 unlawfully. Erbudak was one of the shareholders of the Slotervaart, which was then in the hands of individuals. When investor John Schram died in 2012, increased tensions between Erbudak and the heirs of Schram.
Erbudak was suspended in March 2013 after a conflict with the hospital and then discharged. According to her it was given false dismissal for reasons which they filed suit proceedings against the hospital. They claimed compensation and arrears of salary of 1.9 million euros.
According to the court, there is sufficient ground for her dismissal and must repay the hospital right. The hospital did not dismiss her without notice, but according to the court she is there enough to compensate.
The court considers it proven that they
– on their own 1 million from the hospital paid to investment Simed to purchase land for a hotel and resort in Turkey
. – with money from the hospital a private company (Meromi Participations) investments did do
-. with the credit card of the hospital has done for nearly 1.5 tons privéaankopen and a significant amount withdrawn cash from the vault of the hospital , for no reason.
It is the second time that the court decides against it. Last November the judge ruled that all they have to pay back 2.5 tons, which they did in 2011 and 2012 about wrongly to a friendly company.
And there are still more procedures between Erbudak and hospital. After her resignation broke a power struggle over the hospital. The hospital feared a return of Erbudak as owner. She and her family were then shareholder put offside. This action is being examined by the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court, a court that specializes in conflict with companies.
Meanwhile, the Slotervaart Hospital is in the hands of health care entrepreneur Loek Winter.
