Microsoft has sales in the second quarter of its fiscal year show increase significantly. That came under more by an increasing demand for cloud software and other services. Also the sales of Xbox games console did a positive cents.

Microsoft posted sales of $ 26.5 billion, up from $ 24.5 billion a year ago. The bottom line was a result of nearly 5.9 billion dollars. That’s $ 0.71 per share, which in the same period a year ago still $ 0.78 per share was paid.

The

decrease in net profit is partly due to a major reorganization that the group is undertaking, in response to the previous billion acquisition of the majority of Nokia. Microsoft also suffer from the weak PC market and thereby eroding demand for Windows software. Further weighed negative currency impact on the result.

Analysts had on average expected a pre-sales of 26.3 billion dollars and a profit of 0.71 dollars per share. Despite almost in line with expectations hatching figures, the share was Microsoft in the US nabeurshandel 2 percent slicing
