The famous French economist Thomas Piketty do not want high award of the the French state.
He said learning that he is a candidate to be included in the Legion of Honor, the highest
and most important French national award.
Yesterday he announced that distinction does not accept, because according to him it is not the role of government to decide who deserves honor.
