Holleeder gets jail for threat De Vries – nrc.nl

Willem Holleeder goes back into the cell. He was sentenced to 46 days in jail for threatening crime reporter Peter R. de Vries. That has ruled this afternoon the court in Haarlem. Holleeder was found not guilty of extorting a former leader of the Hells Angels, Theo Huisman.

In the so-called Andean process is the prime suspect Danny K. sentenced to 4.5 years in prison for money laundering and extortion. K. continued his surroundings under pressure to launder money for him. He kept these people and so long as he paid them they had to do what he said. Co-accused Dick V. got three years in prison for extortion and committing violence. Both were found guilty by the court to assaulting Huisman. According to the Prosecution was Holleeder engaged in by Danny K. Dick and V. alleged crime network, but before the court found no evidence.

Holleeder should be a part of his earlier penalty serving, because he was still on probation during the threat of De Vries. It is about ninety of the 1095 days. Holleeder came in January 2012 on parole after two-thirds of his sentence – nine years in prison – had served. It is not yet clear whether he will appeal against the ruling. The lawyer Holleeder does not comment.

The accused is Danny K. , which would be the leader of a network that was dismantled in May 2013. Against him was six and a half years in jail. K. has been made according to law include guilty of money laundering, extortion and leading a criminal organization.
