GfK reported Wednesday on the basis of research into the buying behavior of 12,500 Dutch in clothing and shoes.
Of all purchases of clothing and shoes were 6 percent done on a Sunday. In 2010 this was still 4 percent

The study shows that last year 12 percent of the purchases clothing and footwear took place online. In 2010 it was 6 percent. The number of purchases in the shopping decreased in four years by 26 percent.
Online Tuesday the most popular shopping day. About 17 percent of online purchases in 2014 took place on this day. In the physical shopping Saturday is the most popular day with a share of 23 per cent of total purchases.
Big stores such Schoenenreus see the shift to online purchases as the cause of the financial problems. Many big brands are in financial difficulties because they have to deal with falling sales.
