Former President of the Dutch Central Bank Nout Wellink joins the board Board (SB) of accounting firm PwC Netherlands. Wellink is also vice chairman of the supervisory body. That PwC announced today.
Wellink is one of six new members from 1 May form the new council. As president, Jan Maarten de Jong appointed, former member of the board of directors of ABN AMRO.
Former Secretary Yvonne van Rooy is one of two women who sit on the supervisory board of the auditing firm. She is since 2012 chairman of the Dutch Association of Hospitals. The other woman is the social psychologist Naomi Ellemers, which will be connected from September when his professor at Utrecht
No more partners as supervisor
PwC in the coming months to find another female commissioner with broad administrative experience. With seven people the board is complete.
With the establishment of a supervisory board with independent members from outside gives PwC responds to one of the recommendations from the industry itself to do things differently, after the image of the accountants had become tainted by a series of scandals.
