KLM operates cockpit rule formally – Focus on News

The aviation company is following the recommendations of EASA, Eurorpese service for safety in aviation.

After the crash of an aircraft operated by Germanwings where the co-pilot, the captain outside the cockpit then ditch the device probably deliberately did crash, EASA came in late March with the recommendation that there are always two people must be present in the cockpit.

KLM subsidiary Transavia were then already know to follow the recommendation of the EASA. Transavia did that ‘immediately’, while KLM change “as soon as possible” would make. The French partner of KLM, Air France, has implemented the recommendation.
