Politie.nl re-voted website of the year – NU.nl

The team behind politie.nl has the prize at the award ceremony Thursday in received, reports online magazine Thousands. This year there are more than 892.000 votes.

Politie.nl had this year, average monthly 2.5 million visitors. Especially the pages on wanted/missing persons, and news are often viewed.

Second time

It is the second time that politie.nl wins the prize. In 2014 it went the title to the Tweakers Pricewatch. The year before, won Better Games the title. The news site Tweakers, the owner of the hundred, was in 2009, 2011 and 2012 the best site. Other winners were Google search engine, profielensite social media and the online budget Yunoo.

On the internet could be voted on nominees in 24 categories, including Energy, Media, Government and Sport. For each category there was a winner of the ‘most popular website’ and ‘best website’.

For the populariteitsprijzen was going down on the number of votes, while the scores on qualitative characteristics of sites was more important for the prices of ‘best site’.
