Philips hops back after tikfoutkorting – NOS

Due to a typo online shoppers by Philips for days to a lot of discount received. They received not 7,5 euros discount per order, but 75 euro per product. The miss was soon known to customers, allowing a run on Philipsproducten arose.

“Suddenly, there were lots of orders placed, in large quantities,” says a spokesperson of Philips. Research showed that a typo was in the code of the discount offer. Philips has the code removed quickly. It was also decided that all orders placed yesterday have been posted to be undone. “Customers could clearly see that it is a typo.” According to a spokesperson, all orders from the 28th of december, therefore, unenforceable.
