Netherlands less dependent on Russian oil – Telegraaf.nl

Our country is becoming less dependent on Russia for imports oil. Norway is the most important country now where we get our oil from

.

According to figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics ( CBS). In 2008, a third of Dutch imports of crude oil from Russia. Six years later, it dropped to a quarter.

Norway thereby taking the place of Russia in six years, the export of Norwegian oil to our country three times as large. In the fourth quarter of 2014 was even more oil than Norway from Russia in our country.

Over the whole of 2014 more oil from Russia there was often than in Norway, but the Russians get their dominant position ever further lost. In 2014 the import of Rusische oil fell by 17%. Imports of Norwegian oil rose just 40%. Between 2008 and 2014, total imports of oil rose by 13%. The share of oil in Russia precisely fell 16%.
