Amsterdam
To foreign visitors to the capital still to pay for their parking ticket, the City of Amsterdam is the ‘good old’ wheel clamps again out of the mothballs. So says the Amsterdam traffic councilor Pieter Litjes opposite the Telegraph.
Especially tourists in the historic canals have clamped when one gets a parking ticket. This is because only two percent of the 60,000 issued parking fines will actually be paid.
Normally, we started a collection procedure, but with countries like Belgium, Great Britain and France have been no agreements on the exchange of addresses, making a collection can not be performed. This makes the city of Amsterdam can whistle for their money.
