Eurogroup is over – rejected a new proposal – nrc.nl

The special press eurogroup tonight is over, and decided that Greece will no moratorium or debt restructuring. The Greek government did earlier today a new proposal, but other countries do not agree.

The meeting of finance ministers incidentally, are not averse to a third aid package, says minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem (Finance, Labour) after the Eurogroup to Reuters. But there on such a package is negotiated, the euro countries will first await the outcome of Sunday’s referendum.

Dijsselbloem also has a less nice message for the Greek government. A new aid package may be associated with even harsher demands for reform, says the chairman of the Eurogroup tonight. And while the reforms to the Greek Prime Minister Tsipras had been unmentionable. In today sent a proposal he scrambled otherwise no mention of reform. Tsipras spoke primarily about new funding and restructuring of debt.

Greece needs about midnight tonight for 1.6 billion euros to the IMF. The government has already announced that not to do so.
