First stage
During the time trial on Saturday, July 4th the riders start individually. At 14:00 starts the first man from the start podium behind the Jaarbeurs, after which departs every minute a rider to cover the 13.7 kilometers across the city. The last rider will leave at 17:17

Second stage
The launch of the second stage (a journey of 166 kilometers) will be given at 13:10 am on the Croeselaan in Utrecht. The course will be officially released around 13:45 (from then start the real race rankings) on ‘t Goylaan. After 22.5 kilometers the peloton exits through Vleuten Utrecht and head for Oudewater. Around 17:21 will be finished on Neeltje Jans in Zeeland.

Jaarbeurs Area
The Fair area is in the first and second stage, the heart of the Tour. Both stages will start here and the time trial (the first stage) ends near the Jaarbeurs. The area is on foot, by bicycle and public transport easily accessible. Also from a number of transfer points is shuttled to the area. The area is largely free.
Security
The organization uses crowd control, so there’s not too many people at one place. If it is busy somewhere, the necessary measures are taken, such as the closing of squares. Emergency services can always get on the ground; the so-called emergency routes remain free.
Apart from policemen are also security guards, traffic wardens and Tourmakers deployed. There are additional first aid staff / Red-Cross stations present. More safety information can be found on the website of the Tour de France.
Public Events

Walk
If you live in or around the city center of Utrecht, the church recommends walking to the trail or come to one of the public venues. To stabbing on the trail are several pedestrian bridges constructed. There is one near the Nachtegaalstraat and a pool at Krommerijn. There are two underpasses at the Albatross Street and the Bear Pit.
With the bike
With the bike you can get anywhere near the trail. But with major detours. Around the heart of Utrecht you drive simply by bike around the crowds. Along the trail many bicycle racks are placed. In two places (at the ROC Vondellaan and in Hall 2 of the Jaarbeurs) are even special racing bike sheds. A special roadmap developed for cyclists; here you can easily plan your cycling route

Cars
By car drive the city is difficult. A large area is car-free or car-free. Utrecht people and entrepreneurs have had to apply for a special vignette and have to drive through marked detours.

Bus
Friday 3 July after 20:00 Saturday, July 4th and all day ride another bus there temporarily and will remain a part of the lines unimpeded driving. Much of the city center to the bus is not available.
Sunday July 5, it is virtually impossible to drive with the normal lines. Even then drive there temporarily, other lines. On Sunday the Tour Timetable is expected to last until approximately 16:00. Z
From July 3rd 20:00 to 16:00 hours on July 5 bus CS Utrecht Jaarbeurs side closed. To replace a temporary bus station is decorated Westplein.
Hospital
For all residents is emergency care and are guaranteed Diakonessenziekenhuis, UMCU and Anthony Hospital accessible. Who wants to reach one of the hospitals, must take into account a longer resitijd. The municipality encourages Utrechters to park at the Uithof and from there catch a bus to hospital their car.
