Greek referendum on support plan – Telegraaf.nl

ATHENS –

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is a referendum on the financial rescue plan for his country. Tsipras has it announced in a televised speech. The referendum has been held next July 5

.

In his speech, Tsipras was very negative about the rescue plan. He says this is a humiliation of the Greek people. The Prime Minister called the Greeks also ‘no’ vote on July 5th. If a majority, however, say “yes” to the plan, he will also respect those results.



Reflection

Saturday into the EU finance ministers (Eurogroup) met in Brussels for renewed consideration of Greece. We urgently need a set of measures come when the southern European country again brings up the leg. Greece has its lenders had submitted a new proposal.
