“IMF blocked compromise between Greece and eurozone ‘- NU.nl

That the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung this weekend, according to insiders.

According to the proposal Juncker Greece would not need to further cut down on pensions, but there would be 400 million euros are to be cut in defense. The proposal would have the approval of both the French President Hollande and German Chancellor Merkel.

However, the IMF denied that the proposal for such a lie. There were, however, growing tensions that have arisen between the IMF and the European Commission.

That would especially be because IMF boss Christine Lagarde was two weeks earlier, initially agreed with less stringent budget requirements for the Greeks, but nevertheless withdrew support later in a telephone conversation with Angela Merkel. Juncker therefore now would hardly have more leeway in the negotiations with Greek Prime Minister Tsipras.

Sunday will also see major negotiations with Greece on the agenda. It takes probably at least until Thursday to be there to put real steps. Then the finance ministers of the euro countries will meet at a meeting in Luxembourg
