The FNV has an unfortunate movie circulated in honor of Labor Day. In the film of 1941 speaks Hendrik Jan Woudenberg as president of the NVV, but the FNV did not know Woudenberg was also a senior member of the NSB.
That reports Yahoo! News. Faced with the past of the former NVV chairman, said FNV spokesman responded a startled “Oh, that is not the intention.” The FNV wanted to show the video of how the polygon Labor Day was celebrated earlier.
A month after the speech from the movie Woudenberg was a member of the SS. If honor, he received a pistol with inscription of these elite troops from Hitler. Woudenberg was good friends including party leader Anton Mussert.
Woudenberg was on behalf of the NSB between 1937 and 1945 in the Lower House. He was convicted after the war to 20 years in prison, but was released in 1956 already. He eventually died in 1967 in Amsterdam
