a Lot of sitting pensioenbestuurders do not come through an inspection by the Dutch central Bank (DNB). This is clear from answers by the secretary of state level of client to parliamentary Questions from D66.
Since 2000, people who are in the management of a pension fund want to get a key done at the Dutch central bank. The test must show whether the person is suitable and reliable.
For re-election, having people who have already been tested, not a test. That is different if DNB finds that something has changed in the profile of the management function. Since 2014 its for this reason 91 incumbent directors inspected. DNB came 22 times in a negative judgment. That is 24 percent of the cases.
D66 also wanted to know if there is something that is known about the relationship between the performance of a pension fund, and the proven suitability of the directors. According to Klijsma there is no specific research done. But themaonderzoeken’ of DNB point out that weak management is often traced back to the quality of the directors, writes the secretary of state.
