Still discomfort for the passengers due to strikes Lufthansa RTL News

Although the pilots of the German Lufthansa today not strike, there is still affected by the work stoppage of the past few days. 35 flights have been cancelled.

It is going to be 27 flights from Frankfurt and from Munich. A spokesman for the society expects that tomorrow no flights any more to fall out, if the pilots at least not again going to strike. The relevant trade union, Vereinigung Cockpit, has promised that any strike 24 hours in advance to log in.

Bettina Volkens of the leadership of Lufthansa advocated today in the newspaper Bild that they returned to the table with the pilots and a compromise will close.

The pilots Friday night a new collective offer of the airline rejected. The company offered a slightly stronger wage increase, in exchange for certain concessions around pensions for example. But the offer was rejected by the pilotenvakbond, because the proposal, according to them, nothing new offered.

Lufthansa and the pilots tried for years to good arbeidsafspraken to come. According to the Institute for the German Economy the work stoppages and other actions the airline in 2014 and 2015, a total of 450 million euro cost.

Last week stopped the pilots from Wednesday to Saturday. This went over 2700 flights, and were estimated to be 350,000 passengers harmed.
