Improved collective labour agreement for employees Cargill after strike – NU.nl

Also get the more than six hundred Dutch workers a salary increase of 3.35 percent, the trade union FNV Sunday known.

Employees of five Dutch branches of the company have Thursday for an indefinite period of time work laid down. The strike came after an ultimatum was given for the wage increases and new collective bargaining agreement.

“Workers contribute to the profits and should for that to be rewarded,” said negotiator Jos Hendriks of FNV after. “Thanks to their confident and steadfast attitude during the actions, it is now also successful.”

Deal

Michiel Wallaar of CNV vakmensen calls the end result a “good deal”. “It is well above what is usual is in cao country.”

Cargill offered according to the trade unions initially, at most, 1.8 percent pay raise and wanted to know nothing of a better arrangement for older workers.

At the locations in Sas van Gent, Rotterdam, Bergen op Zoom and at two locations in Amsterdam was discontinued.
