Pilots union resumed strikes at easyJet short term – NU.nl

Since the beginning of June VNV performs actions to improve the collective agreement. The pilots union finds that 72 pilots who are based in Amsterdam, to make too many flight hours per month. Furthermore, the pension company would be too low and business is not regulated as sick pay.

On Tuesday, June 14 held a part of the pilots already a strike. Because easyJet foreign pilots had flown, noted traveler ultimately little of the action.

VNV was outraged about this, but a judge ruled later that the airline has the right to use other pilots from other settlements.

Still, VNV saw a small victory in the ruling. The union did the right just six hours in advance to announce a strike. Initially, this was still 48 hours, making easyJet had plenty of time to put into other pilots.

EasyJet has been approached for comment, but has not given it yet.
