The FNV get so many signals of irregularities that the union has decided to set up the hotline. That says FNV director Willem Dijkhuizen Saturday in The Telegraph .
Dijkhuizen hopes above all to achieve Polish and Romanian workers. Foreign temporary workers would dare to say nothing often because they are afraid of losing their jobs.
On construction sites misunderstandings partly because Dutch, Polish, Romanian and English is spoken. According Dijkhuizen this sometimes leads to “dangerous situations”.
The FNV director says that especially crane operators suffer from it, because they have to communicate with people on the ground.
