Elon Musk of Tesla has listed it on his wish list, but the Eindhoven family company VDL Groep has actually been doing: building an electric truck. It mainly concerns vehicles in the city, says project leader Menno Klein money.
The trucks can about 100 kilometers drive on a single battery and are therefore suitable for urban transport, for example, to supply stores. The first big trucks (37 tons) should be ready next year, but early next year there already tested the first prototypes. Customers are not there yet, but there is talk of possible buyers.
