In a statement says 21st Century Fox, the parent company of Fox News that Rupert Murdoch will temporarily act as president of Fox News. Murdoch came back early from a holiday on the French Riviera to lead Ailes departure smoothly.
Earlier this month sued Fox host Gretchen Carlson her boss Ailes on the grounds of sexual harassment. She claims to be fired at the station because they are not going to the advances of Ailes.
21st Century Fox promised them to take the charge seriously. The company began an internal investigation into the matter.
Two days ago also accused newsreader Megyn Kelly Roger Ailes sexual harassment. That would have happened ten years ago when she, as a young correspondent was working.
Since the allegations of Carlson and Kelly have in The Guardian reported more than twenty women with her lawyer. They say in the sixties, seventies and eighties to have experienced sexual harassment by Ailes.
In the latest statement of 21st Century Fox will not discuss the internal investigation.
