The Greek government has tentatively agreed with its lenders on new reforms. This is a step towards new financial aid for Greece. This was reported by the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, which claims to have the document in hand today.

In the 27-page agreement could be agreed to hold 500 million cuts in the armed forces and that certain professional groups no longer be protected. So need to be more competitive and monopolistic be countered. Subsidies to farmers should eventually be eliminated altogether. The plans are for the next three years.

If the EU Member States agree to the plan, Athens can count on August 20 on a new aid package. There main focus is going to Germany or agree with the proposals. The government of Angela Merkel has drawn in recent times hard across Athens.

The European Commission, the ECB and the IMF (the so-called troika) make over 86 billion euros to Greece. Saturday showed representatives of the lenders already know that there is a “very good cooperation” with the Greek negotiating team.
