Social assistance recipients who have a part-time job , mainly work in the hospitality, health care, recreation and housekeeping. Through this work they save the treasury 350 million.
As more and more jobs are part time and works a lot with flexible contracts, it is difficult to find a job where one does not depend on welfare.
About 40 percent of the part-time working welfare recipients failed in 2013 and 2014 in order to get off welfare. Of the group of social assistance recipients who were not working, but 29 percent came from the assistance.
Social assistance recipients with jobs earn on average 500 euros per month. The social service fills amount of assistance levels; that is for a single person over 900 euros net per month for a couple 1,375 euros.
Aim
Almost all social services seek an increase in part-time work after. About half of social services (53 percent) also conduct policy. Two thirds of social services have income from part-time work (partly) free.
A third of municipalities are experiencing difficulties in settling income through part-time work. These municipalities are settling income complex and a huge administrative burden. Because the payment of a benefit to the real wage is not known, social services need to be settled afterwards. That provides a lot of recoveries and uncertainty for customers
