The European Union must prohibit the export of Dutch cut flowers to Russia, says the Russian Food and Drugs Authority. If not, then Russia itself calls for a boycott of Dutch flowers. The Russian news agency Tass reported Monday that the imports from the Netherlands has been put temporarily stop.

Agriculture and horticulture organization LTO Netherlands says it is highly unlikely that pests sits among flowers . LTO think it is a political act. Last year, Russia was still the fourth market for the Netherlands, now the country is in eighth place.
