The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has confirmed that it has received a letter from Greece in which the country calls for a new loan. The request is under consideration, the IMF reported Friday US time. The IMF with the Greek authorities and the European partners will discuss the request.
The Greek Ministry of Finance
had earlier on Friday reported that it had formally asked for a new loan.
