Old Palace of Justice sold – Telegraaf.nl

AMSTERDAM –

The former courthouse on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam in the hands of Chinese investors, reports Het Parool. Former owner, real estate entrepreneur Louis Meijer, has sold the property for 61.3 million euros. The new owners will be opened in an ultra luxury hotel

The new owners, an investment company owned by the wealthy Chinese family Cheng opens a Rosewood Hotel in the property. The hotel on the Prinsengracht will open in 2018 and

will consist of about 140 rooms. The City of Amsterdam wanted to place on the Prinsengracht an “ultra luxury” hotel would come.

The Chinese had presented at a previous auction all the plans for the luxury hotel to the church. They agreed, but Meijer received when the property in the hands. What Amsterdam sales and find plans is still unclear
