Slightly more unemployed in November – Parool.nl

The decline in unemployment has been halted in November. After a slight decline in September and October, there was a slight increase in November with 3,000 new unemployed. According to figures by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has published today.

In total last month were 630,000 unemployed Dutch home, or 8 percent of the workforce. From May to August, unemployment fell sharply. But in recent months the unemployment rate has hardly changed. There were more people back to work, but there are also reported more people in employment who are not all directly a job.

The youth unemployment will remain stabbing at 14 percent. In November, 114,000 young people looking for work, the same number as in October.

Last month there were also more of unemployed in. Figures from benefits agency UWV shows that the number of unemployment benefits in November 6000 has increased to 425,000. Especially to young people were given more benefits (almost 7 percent). Also by sector there are differences. From agriculture, the number of unemployed grew by 14.5 percent, while for education just saw a decrease of 6.1 percent.

Internationally unemployment CBS remains relatively low. As defined by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) did this in November from 6.5 percent of the workforce. This is the same as in October.
