In November swapped 11,696 houses were sold. That is an increase of 10.6% compared to the same month last year, according to figures from the Land Registry.
The increased sales includes all housing types, except for two-under-a-detached houses. Of these sales decreased compared to November last year by 2.3%. Apartments were a sales increase of over 21% the most popular.
Compared with November 2013 increased home sales in nearly all provinces. Friesland is the exception – as sales fell by almost 5%. The increase was greatest in England by almost 23%. Especially sales in Amsterdam contribute to the positive data from this province.
The Land Registry recorded last month 17,105 new mortgages. This is an increase of 7.5% compared to November last year.
The Land Registry figures reflect the positive sentiment on the housing indicating the Private House Market indicator for months. Last month reached the mood indicator of the housing market of 105 points the record value. This is the highest value since the introduction of the Private House Market indicator in 2004.
