Residents problem neighborhoods feel less safe – Telegraaf.nl

Residents of problem areas, also called priority neighborhoods, often feel unsafe in their own neighborhood than other residents in the Netherlands. Nearly four in ten residents of the forty disadvantaged neighborhoods in the Netherlands in 2013 sometimes felt unsafe in their neighborhood, which is twice as much as the national average

.

Just over 6 percent of people in a problem area often feels unsafe, three times as often as the average in the Netherlands. It reports the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) on Wednesday.

Residents of the focus areas provide safety in their neighborhood score of six. On average, given here for 7.1 in the Netherlands. Research also shows that people in disadvantaged neighborhoods are more afraid of being victims of crime and evening often bypass a block to avoid unsafe places
