New actions by collective bargaining dispute with Shell – NOS

A part of the Shell employees explains in the refinery in Pernis in the afternoon briefly the work down. It is also at that location, and in Moerdijk, the netherlands, from 16: 00 onwards for an indefinite period of time, the production controlled is reduced, so the trade unions FNV and CNV to know.

The trade unions are with Shell in the battle over a new collective bargaining agreement for approximately 1800 employees at the two locations. Shell offers a power increase of 1 percent for 2017 and 2018 plus 1000 euro in cash.

But according to the unions, is that too little. FNV-director Egbert Schellenberg: “The employees want or 1.5 and 1.75 percent salary increase. We think that’s not an unreasonable requirement.” Also there is disagreement over the budget for a faster growth of employees. Shell wants this budget to halve, the unions, want the equal.

Shell refers to the arrangement of the unions unreasonable and irresponsible. The company points out that the refinery in Pernis, the largest in Europe. According to Shell’s leads drop in production caused unrest and long-term negative consequences for both employees, customers and local residents.
