EINDHOVEN (ANP) – Chipmaker Qualcomm is in talks with the Local professional NXP Semiconductors about an acquisition. That writes business newspaper, The Wall Street Journal Thursday, on the basis of insiders. The deal would be an amount of around 30 billion dollars of money are involved.
NXP showed through a spokesman to know,not wanting to comment on rumors and speculation”. Also, Qualcomm did not respond.
The acquisition of NXP would be within two or three months. The sources keep a blow to the arm and do not exclude that the negotiations spoke.
Consolidatieslag
