KNVB puts much less stadiums on – NU.nl

This is evident from the annual report of the Central Information Football Hooliganism (CIV).

According to the national football, the decline partly because there were no major incidents last season. In the previous season there were riots around the match between FC Den Bosch and FC Oss (98 stadiums) and it went wrong in the clash between the Italian AS Roma and Feyenoord (80 stadiums).

The number of incidents inside and outside the stadium decreased from 822 to 733. the number of people with the police came into contact went down from 852 to 697. also, also decreased number of hours needed to deploy the police of 301 840 hours in 2014/2015 to 273 938 hours in season 2015/2016.

Do not rejoice too soon

the KNVB is pleased with the drop in the rates on several fronts, but do not rejoice too soon. “We see that we over the years to linger about the same level,” said Gijs de Jong, COO professional football of the KNVB in the report.

In half of the number of matches are combined schemes , where an access card is coupled to a required form of transportation. “That may not be necessary,” says De Jong. “We have made the problem manageable with measures taken by all football fans. The challenge now is to take measures that affect only the bad apples and make fun at the same time football for real fans.”
