The recovery is likely to last all day. Traffic from Germany must detour through Venlo itself. It has not yet led to traffic jams.
Earlier this morning was also closed the A73 towards Nijmegen in the Roer Tunnel. There were branches and mud on the road and had to be cleaned up, says the ANWB Thursday morning.
A little after 8:10 pm the road could be reopened.
Weather Storm
The KNMI weather warning Thursday for thunderstorms in the east of the country. The weather institute centers later in the afternoon code yellow off, there is expected to include waterlogging.
Code yellow applies to the provinces of Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel, Gelderland, North Brabant and Limburg from 14.00 to 22.00 hours. When the rain may prevent hail and gusty winds. Locally there is a lot of rain expected which could cause flooding to much.
Also Friday again heavy thunderstorms expected. At the weekend the chance softened a bit and gets the sun more space. Well may fall locally heavy rain. The rain seems likely after the weekend gone.
