The biggest increase was in households with less than 1,500 euros net per month. 2015 was only 32 percent of this group on vacation, this year it increased to 52 percent.
Most Dutch have the holiday preferably once a year: 84 percent indicate here prefer. A large majority (71 percent) also looks beforehand whether the holiday is financially feasible.
For the self-employed without staff holiday planning seems not a huge priority. 40 percent of freelancers saves for the holidays, but only 10 percent
puts aside money every month. 
Two-thirds of Dutch, this year more than six days on vacation. While last year more than a quarter of the people stayed at home, that percentage fell this year to 22 percent
